End Grain Cutting Board

$295.00

This handmade cutting board is made primarily with Maple, and has accents of dark chocolaty Walnut, & and the deep, rich red of Padauk. This piece highlights the natural beauty and vast contrast in color and grain structure between these uniquely distinct premium hardwoods. The wood is arranged in an end grain orientation, meaning the fibers face upward to create the ideal cutting surface. This allows knife edges to slip between the fibers rather than cut across them, helping preserve sharp blades while creating a durable, self-healing surface built for everyday use.

Each cutting board is carefully sanded and finished with three coats of pure tung oil—chosen intentionally over wax or mineral oil finishes. Tung oil penetrates deep into the wood fibers, curing to create a naturally durable, food-safe, and water-resistant surface that enhances the wood’s grain and provides long-lasting protection.

Typical of all the cutting boards that we make in our shop, there is a handle groove on the bottom of each side & small rubber feet to avoid the board sliding all over the place!

Handmade in the USA - Fort Wayne, IN to be exact, every board is unique and built to serve your kitchen for years to come.

Dimensions: 12” Wide, 19-1/2” Long, 1-3/4” Thick, however it is 2” tall with the rubber feet.
